Ansel Adams

Ansel Adams had little education. He was tutored by his father and his aunt at home. Before becoming a photographer, Ansel was a pianist. In 1927 Ansel took Monolith. A picture of the Half Faced Dome. It was the "pivoting point" of his career. Many things set Ansel apart from the crowd such as his dyslexia or his nose that was badly damaged in an earthquake at age four. He was married to Virginia Best and had two children.

Ansel Adams, Mono Lake

I choose this picture because I love how so much is reflected in the water. Also the mountains appear so dark against the light sky and therefore provides a lot of contrast in the photo. It's really amazing how glassy the water looks and the clarity up close that slowly fades.

Found Panoramic

I like this picture because of all the color and life in the photo. There's so much going on. I like the resolution. Everything's really clear and crisp. The different angle gives a cool new perspective. This picture originally drew me because of the color and depth.

This picture is a unique skyline. I love how the lights cause a reflection on the water. It's a really pretty view. The dark sky gives a good background to the bright city and really brings your focus to the buildings and colored lights of the city.

Found Face Story

Life Of Pud

My name is Pud. I have a rough life. I'm the drain of one of the drinking fountains in the music building. Because of my extremely unfortunate occupation (being a drain), i'm constantly overlooked and don't even get me started on the whole drinking water that has touched weirdo's mouths. It's rough for sure but I guess you could say i'm lucky; i'm the furthest away from the actual fountain spout. Some of my drain family weren't so lucky. I haven't seen them since the factory but I heard some of my cousins are living at the bottoms of sinks and most of my aunts and uncles are shower drains. My closest relation would be my older brother. He's the drain of the taller water fountain next to me, but we still don't get to ever see each other. At least, not since the install. Whenever I have free time I stare into the lights above and think about the day i'll become scrap. When i'm scrap I want to be made into something really cool. Then maybe I won't be forced to stare at the ceiling in my free time. I guess you could say that if I could past time it would be traveling the world but really I just dream up a future. I'm a dreamer. Now I must admit that I have a hidden talent. I'm super good at catching people's gum. Occasionally, someone will come along chewing gum and think that it's totally okay to drink whilst holding their gum in their cheek. I'm just telling you now that only ever works about 50% of the time. The other 50% I have to hold their nasty flavorless gum until a friendly janitor is so kind to remove the wad from my mouth. I am cursed with a frown because of my horrible life although if anyone asks I prefer to lie and say that it was bad botox. It's the only humor I have in my life.
